At ISKCON Hebri Gaushala, cow protection is not just a practice, it is a sacred duty carried out with deep love and devotion. Home to 50 cows and bulls, our Gaushala is dedicated to providing a peaceful, nurturing environment where every cow is treated with the utmost respect. We are proud caretakers of the indigenous Malenadu Gidda breed, known for its purity, resilience, and significance in local tradition. Our cows are never tied; they roam freely over 14 acres of open grazing land, enjoying the freedom and safety of their natural surroundings. Calves, in particular, have ample space to play, explore, and grow in an environment where they feel completely secure and fearless.
To ensure our cows receive the best nutrition, we cultivate 1.5 acres of Super Napier Green Grass—and also we provide exceptionally nutritious fodder that supports their health and well-being. Each aspect of our Gaushala is thoughtfully designed to promote a life of dignity, comfort, and happiness for the cows. With heartfelt dedication, our team tends to these sacred animals daily, upholding the timeless values of cow protection as taught in the Vedic tradition.
